About — The artist

port-royal (deliberately written without a capital letter and with a hyphen between "port" and "royal") is an electronica and post-rock band based in Genoa, Italy, formed in 2000 by Attilio Bruzzone (guitar, keyboards) and Ettore Di Roberto (piano, keyboards). They were quickly joined by Ettore's brother, Michele Di Roberto (drums), Emilio Pozzolini (keyboards, samples) and Giulio Corona (bass). The band's music favors instrumentals over lyrics, in a style close to other instrumental-focused bands such as Mogwai and M83.
