James Sidney Jones (better known as Sidney Jones), born on 17 June 1861 in Islington and died on 29 January 1946 in Kew, was an English conductor and composer, celebrated for his musical comedies of the late Victorian and Edwardian eras.
His best-known work is The Geisha, but several of his other musical comedies were among the most popular shows of the period, enjoying long runs, international tours and numerous revivals.
