About — The artist
Skating Polly is an American punk rock band formed in 2009 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The band was founded by multi-instrumentalist half-sisters Kelli Drew Mayo and Peyton Mckenna Bighorse, who were 9 and 14 years old respectively at the time. Kelli's brother, Kurtis Lee Mayo, joined the band on drums in 2017 so that Peyton and Kelli could focus on guitar and bass respectively. The band is known for its members' instrument swapping, poetic lyrics, energetic live shows, melodic arrangements, and an eclectic repertoire ranging from riot grrrl to grunge to indie pop.
