About — The artist
Spirit of the West was a Canadian folk rock band from North Vancouver, active from 1983 to 2016. Popular on the Canadian folk scene in the 1980s, the group later moved toward a mix of hard rock, Britpop, and Celtic folk influences, which made it one of Canada's most popular alternative rock bands in the 1990s.
