About — The artist
The Bats are a New Zealand rock band from Christchurch. They formed in 1982 around Robert Scott (bassist for The Clean) and Paul Kean (former member of Toy Love). They stopped in 1988 to resume in 1990, then took a long break between 1995 and 2005. Since At the National Grid in 2005, albums have been released irregularly, several years apart, but have received very good reviews from the public and specialised media.
