About — The artist
The Brotherhood was a pioneering British hip-hop group, with a strong following across the United Kingdom from the early 1990s onward. After releases on the historic British hip-hop label Bite It! Recordings, the group then joined Virgin. The album Elementalz, released in 1996, has been described as one of the best British hip-hop albums ever made, and as “a staggering achievement for British music”. The group eventually split in 1998 and has since been regarded as one of the most influential groups on the 1990s British hip-hop scene.
