About — The artist

The Dresden Dolls [ðə ˈdɹɛzdən dɑlz] (« The Dresden Dolls ») are an American indie rock band from Boston, Massachusetts.

Their members are Amanda Palmer on piano and vocals, occasionally also harmonica or ukulele, joined by Brian Viglione on drums. Viglione also handles the band's rare guitar and bass parts.

Amanda Palmer has described their musical style as « Brechtian punk cabaret », for fear that the press would otherwise invent a label « that would include the word gothic ».
