About — The artist
The Octopus is the third studio album by Amplifier, a space rock band from Manchester. It is issued as a double CD. It was first made available online in December 2010, before its commercial release in January 2011. In its review of the album, the BBC describes it as "an album that demands respect and time, but whose rewards are plentiful. While two discs may seem a little overwhelming at first, one could also consider that there is so much quality to digest that value for money is not even an issue." The album can be streamed on a microsite set up by the band. The vinyl edition of The Octopus was released in October 2019, with "The Eternal" as an exclusive bonus track.
