Musée des Arts décoratifs

The Musée des Arts décoratifs (not to be confused with Les Arts Décoratifs, which is the association overseeing the museum, library, etc.) is a Parisian museum, located on rue de Rivoli, in the Marsan wing of the Louvre Palace. Its objective is to promote applied fine arts and to develop links between industry and culture, creation and production. It houses one of the most important collections of decorative arts in the world. The museum continues to pursue the objective that presided over its foundation: “to maintain in France the culture of arts that pursue the realisation of beauty in utility”.

It is part of the larger private association MAD (called Les Arts Décoratifs until January 2018), founded in 1882.
