About — The venue

The Musée Maillol is a private museum located at 61 rue de Grenelle in the 7th arrondissement of Paris.

Founded on 20 January 1995 by Dina Vierny, the muse of the sculptor Aristide Maillol, it presents numerous works by Maillol, along with a collection of 20th-century modern art in painting, sculpture and drawing. The temporary exhibitions are devoted to art of the 20th and 21st centuries.

Dina Vierny commissioned the architect Pierre Devinoy to design the museum's interior layout.

Until 2020, the museum was operated by Culturespaces, a subsidiary of the Engie group (formerly GDF-Suez). The Fondation Dina Vierny-Musée Maillol has been recognised as being of public utility by the French State. It is recognised as a foundation under American law.
