Overview
Airelle Besson's gentle trumpet answers Lionel Suarez's delicate accordion, between effervescent jazz flights and passionate improvisation.
Between the trumpeter, who has established herself as a distinctive voice in jazz in France, recently named best instrumentalist of the year at the 2026 Victoires du Jazz, and the accordionist, taken under the wing early on by Claude Nougaro and a regular collaborator with figures such as Jean Rochefort and André Minvielle, the exchanges are attentive, tender and passionate.
For a decade now, they have patiently cultivated their friendship through a long-running musical conversation, and they still have plenty to say to each other and to us.
It's exactly what's needed for their brand-new album 'Blossom' to blossom — a captivating album-cum-testimony to an exchange that will never truly end.
