Anneke Van Giersbergen & Band

Anneke van Giersbergen is a Dutch singer and songwriter known for her powerful and emotional voice, musical versatility, and captivating stage presence. She has toured in over 45 countries and released more than 25 albums to date. After thirteen years as the frontwoman of melancholic metallers THE GATHERING, Anneke embarked on a solo career in 2007. Since then, her creativity has known no bounds. Her solo career quickly became successful, while she frequently collaborated with Devin Townsend, a leading figure in Canadian metal, and Arjen Lucassen, the mastermind behind AYREON.

Furthermore, Anneke has lent her voice to a wide range of artists, including WITHIN TEMPTATION, NAPALM DEATH, the Icelandic folk band ARSTIDIR, AMORPHIS, and progressive rock legend John Wetton (KING CRIMSON).

In 2019, the Dutch music organisation Buma Cultuur awarded Anneke the Buma ROCKS! Export Award, recognising her as one of the most prominent Dutch artists abroad in the field of heavy music. Anneke's new album, "La Vie, La Mort, L’Amour", is released as a trilogy divided into 3 EPs, the second of which, "La Mort", will be released on 27 March 2026.
