Anneke van Giersbergen is a Dutch singer-songwriter known for her powerful and emotional voice, musical versatility, and mesmerizing stage presence. She has toured in over 45 countries and has released over 25 albums to date.
After thirteen years as frontwoman of the melancholic metallers THE GATHERING, Anneke launched her solo career in 2007. Since then, her creativity has known no bounds.
Her solo career quickly achieved success while frequently collaborating with Devin Townsend, leading figure of Canadian metal, and Arjen Lucassen, mind behind AYREON.
Furthermore, Anneke has lent her voice to a wide range of artists, including WITHIN TEMPTATION, NAPALM DEATH, Icelandic folk band ARSTIDIR, AMORPHIS, and progressive rock legend John Wetton (KING CRIMSON).
In 2019, Dutch music organization Buma Cultuur awarded Anneke the Buma ROCKS! Export Award, recognizing her as one of the most prominent Dutch artists abroad in heavy music.
Anneke's new album, "La Vie, La Mort, L'Amour," releases as a trilogy divided into 3 EPs, with the second, "La Mort," coming 27 March 2026.
