Overview
Born from the meeting of Rosemary Standley, the iconic voice of Moriarty, and Dom La Nena, a Franco-Brazilian cellist and singer, Birds on a Wire reinterprets with elegance a repertoire without borders, drawing on rock and baroque music as well as treasures from little-known folk traditions.
For 14 years now, this nomadic duo has cultivated a singular chemistry, turning every cover into a stripped-back and magnetic creation.
From Violeta Parra to Leonard Cohen, by way of Jacques Brel, the two artists reinvent a borderless repertoire, weaving links between eras and continents.
In 2025, they open a new musical chapter with the album 'Nuées ardentes', in which songs by The Cure, Bronski Beat or Barbara rest upon their wings for a timeless sonic voyage, carried by a delicate vocal and instrumental dialogue.
