The exhibition « Bon appétit les animaux !  » invites you to discover the world of illustrator Capucine Mazille through a selection of original watercolours illustrating the eponymous documentary album written by Françoise Laurent.

What do animals from the forest, the savannah, or the deep sea eat? To find out, open your eyes wide! Wolves have sharp teeth, rabbits nibble with their incisors, and birds peck with their beaks. Capucine Mazille draws all these animals in the middle of a meal.

Her watercolour paintings show the true life of nature, but always with a touch of humour and a lot of tenderness. Capucine Mazille was born in the Netherlands.

Her father was a painter and illustrator, and she never thought of doing anything other than inventing imaginary worlds with her brushes. By hand, in the old-fashioned way, because she loves the feel of paper, the smell of pencils, and that of paint.

Her drawings have been exhibited in France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and the United States.

As a children's author-illustrator, she has published numerous books: tales, school books, stories in the press, comic strips, as well as scientific and animal documentaries, notably with Ricochet editions.
