Brel ! Le Spectacle - Tournée

BREL! LE SPECTACLE Conceived and directed by Gil Marsalla and performed by Belgian artist Olivier Laurent, this tribute show to the great Jacques Brel has already conquered audiences around the world. Many people describe him as a reincarnation.

On stage, Olivier Laurent does not imitate Brel; he is Brel, bringing the lyrics of his greatest songs back to life as if his life depended on it.

With this concert, already performed around a hundred times before audiences who were either jubilant or moved to tears, in Paris, Montréal, New-York, Stockholm, Beyrouth, Londres or Dubaï, the artist pays masterful tribute to the greatest French-speaking singer Belgium has ever produced, through voice, rage, irony and tenderness.

Accompanied by four exceptional musicians, he throws himself body and soul into the frenzied rhythm of La Valse À Mille Temps, and embodies with ardour and elegance Ces Gens-Là, Les Vieux or Les Bigotes.

He even lets us (re)discover Voir Un Ami Pleurer, from the album Les Marquises, which Jacques Brel, taken by illness, never had the chance to sing on stage. A great rush of poetry and a true performance. Shivers guaranteed!
