About — The theatre

Auditorium 800 is one of the venues within the Cité des Congrès de Nantes, located on Rue de Valmy. As is often the case with multi-space facilities, this page only covers dates associated with this specific auditorium: events held in other rooms of the building have their own dedicated pages.

The programming leans heavily towards live performance. Comedy and solo shows dominate the listings, ahead of a category of mixed-format shows. Music occupies only a small place: a few classical concerts, some soul, and one chanson date. The ratio is approximately six evenings of stage performances for every one concert.

This dominance is explained by the nature of the venue: a congress centre auditorium primarily hosts tours looking for a comfortable capacity and seated arrangements, which corresponds to the format of current comedy shows.

The prices observed are in a median range, with a moderate difference between the cheapest and most expensive shows. Some dates do not have prices in our data, as the source did not provide them; the actual amount will then be found on the official ticketing website.

Two checks are worth making before booking. Firstly, the exact venue: in a multi-space building, the show's listing will specify the precise name of the location, and that is what is authoritative. Secondly, the time: between a classical concert and a comedy show, the start time and duration differ significantly.

Finally, the venue appears in the site's Nantes agenda with its genre and date filters. If nothing here suits you for the evening you're interested in, these filters allow you to immediately see what other venues in the city are offering.

To conclude, a note on the pace of announcements: comedy tours that fill this type of venue are programmed several months in advance, and the calendar therefore often displays distant dates. The follow-up form located below the programme will notify you of new publications for this venue.
