Overview
ABOUT CINÉ-TRIO: Ciné-Trio was born from a friendship between three musicians who graduated the same year from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. Their shared passion for film music led them to form this ensemble while still students.
Since then, the trio's repertoire has grown to include more than 550 original arrangements of some of the most famous themes composed for cinema, spanning films from the 1930s to today. They perform regularly at music and film festivals as well as at special events.
To date, they have given nearly 1,000 performances and recorded 7 studio albums, the last 4 of which are devoted to the finest French, American and Japanese (Miyazaki) cartoons, to Ennio Morricone, to Japanese composers ("Made in Japan") and to composer John Williams.
AUDIENCE TESTIMONIALS: What excellent musicians! A trio of talented musicians. Their concept is original. We had a wonderful evening.
This trio just carries you away — a pianist who's an orchestra in himself, an oboe d'amore with a velvety tone, a virtuoso violinist, not to mention the soprano's voice. The arrangements of these film scores are truly tailor-made. A genuinely delightful show!
It's always a pleasure to attend a Ciné-Trio concert!! I never miss a Ciné-Trio concert... It's always superb and full of new surprises. This latest concert was no exception... Can't wait for the next one! A magnificent concert!
