Overview
An ordinary family dinner, where madness takes the place of grief – because it is sometimes easier to laugh, sing or let go than to admit your sadness.
Mémé is the head of a tribe. Seated in her wheelchair, she keeps her family in line the way Moses led his people across the sea. She has passed on everything she knew: the weight of family inheritance, the traditions, the superstitions, the guilt, the love.
But also the monthly get-together at this karaoke restaurant. Tonight she is not there, because she has died. Her children and grandchildren are there, for the first time without her.
It is here that they sing, but they also talk about politics as readily as they talk about tradition.
