Chopin par Hugo Martin

The pianist Hugo Martin performs the major works of Frédéric Chopin in a classical music concert at the Église Saint-Julien le Pauvre.

This concert showcases the piano works of Frédéric Chopin, the nineteenth-century Polish Romantic composer whose output remains a cornerstone of the classical repertoire. The pieces chosen for the evening illustrate the harmonic sensitivity and virtuosity that characterise the composer's writing, moving between nocturnes, études and waltzes.

On stage, the soloist offers a careful reading of these scores, favouring precision of execution and melodic clarity. The evening is aimed at lovers of chamber music and solo piano who wish to rediscover these pages of the repertoire in a suitably intimate acoustic setting.

The Église Saint-Julien le Pauvre hosts the performance in its historic nave. The acoustics of this place in the 5th arrondissement of Paris suit the rendering of the instrument's dynamic range and allow attentive listening to the nuances of the score.
