Anne Sila & Yvan Cassar

Anne Sila and Yvan Cassar Cast: Anne Sila, vocals and cello. Yvan Cassar, piano. Anne Sila, raw voice, able to convey emotion without detour.

Solid classical and jazz technique that lets her cross every terrain, even the great pop media sea, without losing her timbre or her truth, she now stands out as one of the finest voices in French song.

One day, as if in a dream, she crosses paths with the great Yvan Cassar, pianist and peerless arranger, known for bringing as much magic to harmonies and orchestration as anyone. From a single chord, he makes a poem.

He is the architect of great popular frescoes as much as of classical elegance, an irreplaceable companion to giants such as Johnny Hallyday, Claude Nougaro, and many others.

She comes from the heart, as one comes into the world, without precaution, with that part of the unknown that makes truth tremble. He comes from the piano, the score, listening, and that rare talent for making the slightest note beautiful.

Both know that music begins precisely when it escapes them. From their meeting is born this piano-voice duo of two musical sensibilities that recognise one another, rise together, and end up becoming a single voice.

On the programme: new pieces and tributes to classics of French song, reimagined for piano and voice, with rare delicacy and originality, in an almost romantic dialogue between Cassar's so melodious piano and Anne Sila's voice, soft, powerful and sincere, which at times is also accompanied by cello.

Between musical demands and accessibility, the concert sits at the crossroads of genres, blending French song with classical and jazz influences in a rare beauty, like a promise of grace and daring, even leaving room for a few improvised jazz escapades. Expected effects?
