Overview
Jazz concert devoted to the clarinet, presented at the Conservatoire Municipal Nadia et Lili Boulanger, in the 9th arrondissement of Paris.
This concert brings together the clarinet and jazz, at the Conservatoire Municipal Nadia et Lili Boulanger, an institution located at 17 rue de Rochechouart, in Paris. The clarinet is a single-reed instrument of the woodwind family. In jazz, which was born in the United States at the beginning of the 20th century and is built on improvisation and swing, it is played solo as well as within an ensemble, where it engages in dialogue with the rhythm and the other instruments.
The evening is aimed at jazz lovers as well as those curious about this instrument, whether they already know this repertoire or wish to discover it. The venue is a Parisian municipal conservatoire devoted to music teaching, which places this encounter within the musical life of its neighbourhood.
