Concert du quintette de cuivres Q5

Feel the dazzling sound of brass with the Q5 quintet!

Fairly little known to the general public, and more used to wind bands or fanfares, the brass quintet is nonetheless a leading ensemble in classical chamber music.

Like its distant cousin, the string quartet, this line-up is renowned for being "perfect" in its range, timbre and balance. A brass quintet is generally made up of two trumpets, a French horn, a trombone and a tuba.

Q5 aims to make classical music accessible to as many people as possible. Their repertoire therefore allows audiences to explore so-called Western classical "learned" music (Mozart, Bach, Lully, …).

However, the inclusion of "popular" pieces in their repertoire - traditional music, film music, covers, etc. - helps to broaden the audience and reach more people, including those not used to so-called classical music.

This young international ensemble, formed in 2019 in Floresti, Romania, consists of: Lucas Brizzi: trumpet Walter Mena: trumpet Aurélie Verdon: horn Yves Laborde: trombone Jorge Herrera: tuba
