The Chœur et Orchestre Symphonique de Paris invites you on a grand musical journey through four centuries of sacred music, set in the exceptional surroundings of the Église Saint-Étienne-du-Mont. Conducted by Xavier Ricour, with David Cassan at the great organ, the choir will perform the greatest pages and masterpieces of the spiritual repertoire, some little known yet utterly essential.
The programme runs from the baroque fervour of Bach and Delalande, through the romantic intensity of Schumann, Beethoven, Schubert and Mendelssohn, and on to the masterful works of Mozart, Rossini and Verdi, before reaching the harmonies of Fauré and Vaughan Williams.
Tickets are on sale via HelloAsso, at www.cosp.fr, and on the door one hour before the concert.
