Dominique A - Tournée

Twenty-five years of career and fifteen albums have in no way blunted his capacity to surprise us. A leading figure and an indispensable craftsman of an demanding, uncompromising French song tradition, Dominique A makes his big return to La Luciole. With his new album "Spirales" (2026), the artist takes a captivating turn, setting aside fiction for a time to return to the heart of the action through an autobiographical repertoire of complete sincerity, carried by a rawer, more physical and resolutely rock sound.

What is his story? It all began in June 2024 during a nostalgic stroll through Provins, his home town. Walking through the public garden of his childhood, a spark went off: a visceral need to revisit the places of his youth (Provins, Nantes) and to celebrate friendships rediscovered after decades of silence. To give physical form to this return to his roots, the choice of studio became self-evident: the Garage Hermétique, near Nantes, the very place where Dominique A mixed his seminal first album, "La Fossette", thirty-five years earlier. Conceived in harmony with his stage musicians, this 15th studio album drew on the intensity of live performance and a healthy desire not to smooth everything out with a computer. By steering clear of trends, Dominique A traces a perfect curve, a spiral, around his own memories so as to make them resonate more powerfully with our era.

What atmosphere can we expect on stage? Dominique A's concert promises to be a grounded, embodied and vibrant experience. Surrounded by a first-rate quartet (keyboards, double bass, drums), the artist puts the electric guitar back to the fore to bring edge, relief and a healthy roughness to his compositions.
