Overview
A woman on the verge of exploding… but surprise: she is not alone in her head. Four voices have taken up residence in her mind like a hellish flatshare. They cut each other off, tangle without any filter, and clash in a joyful inner chaos. Denial, pragmatism, analysis, lyricism: each one tries to impose her own vision in order to answer THE question that really stings: leave or stay?
Through a succession of scenes, ÉCHAPPÉES explores the many facets of this intimate and universal dilemma: fear, guilt, anger, weariness, dependence. One dreams of emancipation while feeling guilty about it. Another calculates the concrete price of freedom. A third takes refuge in illusion. The fourth dissects the bond, like a braided cable that would have to be painfully undone.
Four voices, one conscience at war with itself, and not one of them in agreement.
