Denial, pragmatism, analysis, lyricism: each tries to impose its vision to answer THE thorny question — to leave or to stay? Through a succession of scenes, ÉCHAPPÉES explores the multiple facets of this intimate and universal dilemma: fear, guilt, anger, weariness, dependence.
One dreams of emancipation while feeling guilty. Another calculates the concrete price of freedom. A third takes refuge in illusion. The fourth dissects the bond, like a braided cable that would have to be painfully undone.
Four voices, a single struggling consciousness — and none of them agree.
