Overview
Entre electronic concert, giant pop-up book and animated cinema, EKLA! opens the doors to a fascinating visual and sound world.
On stage, the duo Turnsteak transforms paper into shifting landscapes. Cut out, folded and then assembled, the shapes come to life before the audience's eyes thanks to lighting effects, video projections and optical illusions. Each page becomes a set, each transformation a surprise.
Throughout this wordless adventure, the two musicians compose a delicate, immersive soundtrack live. Electronic loops, sound effects and melodies accompany this journey in which images and music are in constant dialogue. Suitable for ages 4 and up, EKLA! delights children as much as adults. At the crossroads of concert, visual show and object theatre, this inventive creation invites audiences to look, listen and imagine together.
A poetic and sensory interlude to share as a family.
Composition and music: Damien Rollin and François-Xavier Cumin
Animation: Nikodio
Pop-up book creation: Eric Singelin
Artistic collaborator: Tony Melvil
