En Thérapie

With Francis Huster, Yann Gaël, Tess Lauvergne and Raphaëlle Rousseau. Stage adaptation and dialogue by François Pérache, loosely inspired by the series « Betipul  » created by Hagai Lévi, Ori Sivan and Nir Bergam. Directed by Charles Templon, assisted by Félix Beaupérin.

FRANCIS HUSTER RETURNS TO THE THEATRE IN A DEVASTATING AND DEVASTATED ROLE: THAT OF A THERAPIST ON THE BRINK OF THE ABYSS, OVERWHELMED BY HIS PATIENTS AND HIS OWN LIFE.

As he tries to keep his patients from sinking, it is his own life that begins to waver. Each session becomes a mirror of his flaws, his regrets and his humanity, while his patients, whose lives are slipping away, wait for his help.

Adapted from the cult series BeTipul, En Thérapie explores the hidden side of those who confide and of the one who delivers them. One-on-one encounters, arm wrestling, for the material is human and fragile, and life's accidents heighten the passions once thought forbidden in a therapist's hushed consulting room. An intense closed-door drama, carried by fine writing and a taut staging, in which the intimate becomes universal.
