Épopées

ÉPOPÉES After Désobéir and La Tendresse, Julie Berès continues with ÉPOPÉES her exploration of young people's capacity for reinvention, joy and resistance.

She went to meet young artists from Afghanistan, Palestine, Russia, Israel and Iran, who chose civil disobedience and fled their countries to seek asylum in France.

The show explores the reclaiming of their fundamental freedoms – to sing, dance, read, write and love – and the paradoxes of exile.

On stage, Julie Berès pursues her search for a powerfully performative theatre in which the intimate and humour mingle with the highly political, a theatre that can arm its audience with hope. Conception and direction Julie Berès.

Writing and dramaturgy Kevin Keiss and Julie Berès, with the complicity of Alice Zeniter. With Sonita Alizadeh, Aws Al-Zubaïdy, Fernanda Barth, Lucile Jehel, Lola Kervroëdan, Alexandre Liberati, Hura Mirshekari, Minas Qarawany, Noga Sivan, Albina Vakhitova.
