Exposition de Jean-François Mollière & Patrick Miara, Collecte Subjective

As part of the Bicentenary of Photography, the Quinzaine Photographique Nantaise (QPN) sought to explore the concept of the "collection", not as a mere accumulation of images, but as an act of looking, selecting and memory.

For this occasion, we have invited photographers Jean François Mollière and Patrick Miara to showcase their work once again in the gallery. Both develop practices where the image, whether photographic or mental, is part of a logic of series, variations and extractions.

Their approach engages in a reflection on what constitutes a collection: not only preserving, but organising, shifting and reactivating forms.

Between the fragmentation of reality and sensitive recomposition, their works extend the history of photography by moving it into an expanded territory, where the collection becomes a space for the circulation of images and experiences.

This exhibition is part of the Photography in Art Galleries trail, organised by the Comité Professionnel des Galeries d'Art.
