Exposition de peintures abstraites – Charles-Éric Charrier

An exhibition on view from Thursday 5 November to Wednesday 23 December 2026.

Charles-Éric Charrier is a complete and moving artist whose gesture, whether musical, written or pictorial, keeps evolving with his relationship to the world. Guided by intuition and emotion, he builds protean, often unclassifiable works that draw on the unconscious without channelling it; it is up to each viewer to fill the empty spaces and glimpse their own landscapes.

Known first for his music, including M.A.N, which took him touring across Europe, Charles-Éric Charrier also works with words, producing magnificent poems imbued with dreamlike flashes. When he picks up the brush to depict his psyche, he approaches the canvas in the same way, spontaneously, with the urgency to say and to make running beneath the surface.

His paintings, which may be regarded as abstract works, are at once profound and hazy, rooted in life and immaterial; they oscillate between blurred architectures and snapshots of the human soul.

His painterly emotions will accompany the Petits Joueurs during the last two months of the year.

The opening of the exhibition takes place on Thursday 5 November from 7pm and will also be multifaceted, at the crossroads of painting, music and poetry.

Yann Savel, a great craftsman of elegant and refined French chanson, will take charge of the sonic journey and present a lesser-known side of his repertoire: illustrative, hypnotic and melodic instrumental music in which classical and electric guitar converse.

Charles-Éric Charrier will then read some of his texts to complete this motionless crossing towards an unknown destination.
