Exposition Portraits de Résistantes : Mémoire et Liberté au Centre Paris Anim' Maurice Ravel

From 3 to 26 November, the gallery of the CPA Maurice Ravel hosts a new exhibition: Portraits de Résistantes, Mémoire et Liberté by Katia Odartchenko and Maria Reyes, with participations by Maria Luisa Muller and Federica Matta.

The CPA Maurice Ravel has an art exhibition space known as the Galerie Maurice Ravel.

Each season, this gallery hosts several exhibitions showcasing different techniques representative of contemporary artistic creation (painting, drawing, photography, collage, printmaking, digital creation, street art, and so on).

Through these exhibitions, we take pride in offering our audiences the chance to discover art in varied and original forms and to meet artists with diverse career paths, particularly at the private view events.

Exhibition of the month for November: “Exposition Portraits de Résistantes : Mémoire et Liberté”, from 3 to 26 November 2026 👩‍🎨 Free exhibition, open access, organised as part of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

The exhibition highlights women from different countries and different eras who resisted through political action, social commitment, the protection of children, the transmission of knowledge, or the defence of their territory.

The common thread is not war itself but transmission, survival and humanity: how women protect, nourish, educate and defend life, often in ways other than armed violence.

Katia Odartchenko and Maria Reyes have invited the artists Maria Luisa Muller and Federica Matta for the occasion. Their work reminds us that art is also a tool of resistance and reflection.

The exhibition is supported by the Commission Culture de proximité of the Mairie du 12e arrondissement and the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in France. A specific programme has been designed around it; do discover it in more detail below. Save the date!

📅 Tuesday 3 September at 6pm: Private view in the presence of the artists and also of the families of the resistance fighters. 30pm: Evening of film screenings and round-table discussions around the films “Au nom de tous mes frères” &
