The exhibition questions contemporary cartographic representations of the world, exploring the limits and political stakes of virtual globes.

Virtual globes, such as Google Earth, claim to be digital twins of the Earth. They generate images of our planet seen from space that help shape our territorial imaginations and our perceptions of global changes. But these globes and their digital data are not the world...

The exhibition offers a scientific and artistic exploration of planetary representations. It invites visitors to retrace the history of virtual globes and deconstruct them, questioning their performativity on our imaginations.

To be discovered at the Musée d'Aquitaine and the Géodock, at the Maison des Suds, on the campus of the Université Bordeaux Montaigne in Pessac.
