Faire la ville avec les vivants : rencontre conférence avec Léa Mosconi et les étudiants de l'ENSA Belleville

Meeting with Léa Mosconi, architect, senior lecturer at ENSA Belleville, author of Architecture vivante, architecture des vivants and president of the Maison d'Architecture d'Ile-de-France

From tits to dragonflies and dogs, from bats to horses and deer, animals inhabit the city with us.

Thinking about the city alongside beasts, and considering the modalities of their presence, means both taking seriously the issue of collapsing biodiversity and grasping the challenges of cohabitation at play.

How can we share the city with these other living beings that are animals, whose bodies and behaviours differ so greatly from our own? How can we welcome declining species whose presence is necessary for a vibrant and livable city?

Léa Mosconi, author of Architecture vivante, architecture des vivants (éditions 205), is supervising a project studio this year with students from ENSA Paris Belleville focusing on the "Animal Parliament" and the integration of animal spaces within the city.

This meeting-lecture will also provide an opportunity to present several student models. In partnership with the École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Paris-Belleville; Credits: ENSA Belleville
