Overview
“Nobody tells idiots often enough that they are idiots,” Florence Mendez would tell you. In a sharp, exhilarating stand-up set, this strong-willed yet highly sensitive performer looks back on her path, strewn with obstacles. With the acid comebacks and quick wit that define her, she tells you her story: that of a young woman whom the rejection of difference and mental illness have not managed to stop. Surprising, touching and out of step, Florence Mendez takes delight in tearing down norms and human stupidity with fierce yet always funny punchlines.
Did you know? Florence Mendez already has an impressive record of achievements. She has won several comedy competitions, including that of the prestigious Voo Rire Festival in Liège. She also made a name for herself at Montreux, which later led to her serving as a columnist on the Teva channel, on the talk show Piquantes!, hosted by Nicole Ferroni. Since 2024 she has joined Guillaume Meurice’s team on the programme La Dernière on Radio Nova.
