Friedrich, Hamster Philosophe

Friedrich is a philosopher. But not just any philosopher, because he is also a hamster! Alone in his cage, he asks himself big questions about the meaning of his existence. His cosy cage quickly becomes a prison.

Friedrich lives days that follow one another and are tirelessly identical: little seeds, little turns of the wheel, little naps, little seeds, little turns of... He gets bored, goes round in circles, eats, gets bored, goes round in...

His philosophical hamster mind can no longer bear this insipid routine. In his frantic quest for meaning, Friedrich despairs, rebels, gets depressed and resigns himself only to fall asleep again. But now a roommate joins him!

And cohabitation is going to prove full of surprises… Freely inspired by the book Le journal d'Edward, hamster nihiliste 1990-1990 by Myriam and Ezra Elia, Katarzyna Kurzeja creates a playful show for two furry and very soft actors.

She approaches deep questions in a cartoonish way and with a great deal of humour, exploring the depths of doubt that we ask ourselves throughout our lives. A necessary (and funny) show for all ages!
