Accompanied by Malik Soarès on lapsteel guitar and Kenza Lalaa in performance, Margaux Eskenazi offers an intimate, poetic and musical immersion into selected pieces from the work of Imre Kertész with whom she has been in dialogue for several years and whose vitality she never stops pouring forth.

After the developed triptych from 2017 to 2022 with We Are Among Those Who Say No to the Shadow, And the Heart Still Smolders and 1983, Margaux Eskenazi launches a new exploration around Kertész's literature in a diptych composed of Kaddish, memoirs – part 1 created in June 2024 at the Théâtre Nanterre-Amandier and whose second panel Kaddish, the bald woman in a red bathrobe, was created at La rose des vents in Lille in January 2026.
