Exhibition “Iranica” by Vanecha Roudbaraki.
Vanecha Roudbaraki presents “Iranica”, acrylic on canvas, 180cm x 450cm, 2026. This work was created between March and April 2026, in connection with the Sun and Lion movement, a symbol of the Iranian people massacred in January 2026 by the theocratic regime.
The painting depicts the heroes of this movement, as well as those of earlier movements, notably Woman, Life, Freedom. They are shown alongside the phoenix, a mythical and immortal bird that rises from its ashes and whose tears heal the deepest wounds.
The technique used resembles fresco, in order to depict the street protests and convey their collective energy. In support of the Iranian people, FIAP Jean Monnet offers you this moving exhibition.
