Line-Up: Jean-Jacques Elangué sax Josselin Arhiman piano The duo formed by Jean-Jacques Elangué on saxophone and Josselin Arhiman on piano embodies above all the meeting between two musical sensibilities, two generations, united around the same language: jazz in all its diversity.
In this intimate and pared-down formula, centered on listening and dialogue, the two musicians develop a space of freedom where original compositions and standards from the repertoire cross, leaving room for improvisation, exchange and sonic exploration.
Jean-Jacques Elangué, a saxophonist from the Francophone jazz scene, moves in projects where contemporary jazz and Afro-Caribbean colors cross, with a playing focused on sound and improvisation He has shared the stage with artists Tom McClung, Alain Jean-Marie, Tony Allen, Emmanuel Djob & Afro soul gang, Damon Albarn, Manu Dibango.
And many others. Josselin Arhiman, pianist and composer, traces a journey between modern jazz, Creole music and improvised practices, through numerous collaborations on jazz and hybrid stages.
