Overview
Marcelin Maréchal is an illustrious French actor. Now almost 80 years old, he has known it all: success, honours and glory. Struck by a stroke ten years ago, he spends his days confined to his armchair in the rehearsal room of his company.
His nurse, full of attention, takes devoted care of this legend of the theatre.
The troupe, his family, is tearing itself apart in anticipation of his inheritance, and the actresses, more or less talented, question the authority of William Maréchal, his son, who runs the company with a cardboard hand in a paper glove.
