La Misérable - Julie Depardieu - Tournée

La Misérable shines a spotlight on the shadow of Victor Hugo: Juliette Drouet, who recounts fifty years of a mad love and a mutual hold over one another..

It is the docility of an unruly woman who took it upon herself to accompany the greatest poet of all time so that he might see his work through to the end. Juliette is his heroine, his muse, his passion, his copyist, his inspiration, but also his prisoner.

Victor locks her away in a maid's room for fourteen years so that he can have her all to himself. She writes him thousands of letters during her captivity, all the while remaining his constant support, devoted body and soul.

Two inseparable beings cradled by a secret and obsessive love, for better and for worse! Julie Depardieu has chosen to embody the character of Juliette, 140 years later, to tell us the story that nobody ever wanted to hear and to reveal to us all their boudoir secrets.
