This intimate and political fresco brings together an exceptional duo for the first time: Francis Huster and Philippe Torreton. Alongside them, Delphine Depardieu and Gretel Delattre complete this outstanding cast. In 1930s England, the Duke of York, paralysed by a debilitating stammer, finds himself unexpectedly propelled towards the throne. His encounter with an Australian speech therapist with unconventional methods will turn his life upside down, and perhaps change the destiny of a kingdom on the brink of chaos.

Between family tensions, the rise of totalitarianism, and the birth of an improbable friendship, Le Discours d’un Roi is a masterful work about courage, resilience, and the conquest of one's own voice.
