Overview
Composed by Tchaikovsky between 1875 and 1876, this icon of Romantic ballet has not aged a jot. The Sofia City Ballet brings out all its elegance and precision. It is the most performed work in the history of dance.
And yet every interpretation lends a distinctive colour and resonance to the cursed love story between Prince Siegfried and the beautiful Odette, victim of a curse that condemns her, day after day, to turn into a swan.
In the great tradition of the Russian school of dance, the company opts for a demanding version, backed by a spectacular set design.
From virtuoso international soloists and the haunting score to the fairy-tale costumes of the dancers, this adaptation suitable for all audiences offers a show as enchanting as it is technically accomplished. Great art indeed! A timeless masterpiece to see and see again!
