Overview
Presented by L'Orchestre Colonne. Le Lac des Cygnes by Tchaïkovsky, a masterpiece of the ballet repertoire, showcases the richness of the orchestra's colours and intensities. A summit of the repertoire, it embodies grace, lyricism and dramatic tension, at the heart of a programme given over to dance. Alongside it, Depuis l'Aube by Olivier Calmel offers four dances tracing the cycle of a day, from the luminous morning to the trance of the night. Augusta Holmès's Air de Ballet and Charlotte Sohy's Thème varié pour violon et orchestre extend this journey, before a mystery work opens a final sonic universe.
