Le Père - Tournée

Florian ZELLER’s “Le Père” is often considered “one of the greatest plays of the century” and received several Molières upon its creation. It has since been performed worldwide and has received numerous awards.

Honoured at the Oscars thanks to its film adaptation, this cult play by Florian ZELLER returns to the stage with Pierre ARDITI and Irène JACOB in the title roles. André is no longer young and is showing the first signs of mental degeneration.

This is what prompts Anne, his daughter, to suggest he move into the large apartment she shares with her husband. She believes she can help this father whom she loved so much and who always makes her laugh.

But things don't quite go as planned: the person who moves in with her turns out to be an astonishing, colourful character, not at all ready to give up his independence...

Both angry and distraught, he gradually loses his mind and regresses to childhood under the tearful gaze of his daughter. It's not so easy to accept becoming, one day, the child of our children. A deeply moving play! An immense theatrical moment.
