About — The theatre

Le Pin Galant is located on avenue de Lattre de Tassigny, in Mérignac, and is featured in the Bordeaux agenda of concerts.paris. It is a multidisciplinary municipal venue, whose programming is more akin to that of a national theatre than a specialised venue.

The distribution of upcoming dates is remarkably even: comedy leads, but only slightly, followed by French chanson and variety, contemporary theatre, mixed-format shows, comedy, circus, and magic. No single genre accounts for more than a fifth of the programme. Live performance significantly outweighs music, at a ratio of approximately two-thirds to one-third.

This type of programming corresponds to a curated season rather than a flow of touring shows: it features theatrical creations alongside comedy nights and chanson concerts, with the idea that the same audience will return multiple times throughout the year for different offerings.

The observed prices reflect this diversity: the range is wide, from affordable tickets for intimate formats to seats for major headliners. As always, the price displayed on a listing is the one noted at the last verification of the offer, and the booking button opens the official or partner ticketing service selling the date.

To navigate the programme, there are two tools. The calendar, at the top of the page, shows the evenings with performances and highlights series of shows. The filters of the Bordeaux agenda, meanwhile, allow this programming to be cross-referenced with that of other venues in the conurbation — useful when looking for an outing on a specific date rather than a particular show.

A note on timings, which vary greatly here from one genre to another: a family show generally starts much earlier than a concert, and a theatrical creation does not have the same duration as a comedy night. The listing for each date provides the actual start time; this is the only reliable source, as the venue's page can only give a misleading average.

Finally, if no date suits you today, the follow-up form located below the programme allows you to be notified of upcoming announcements for this venue, without having to check back regularly.
