Le Père - Tournée

"Le Père", by Florian ZELLER, is often considered "one of the greatest plays of the century" and received several Molières upon its creation. It has since been performed worldwide and has received numerous awards.

Honoured at the Oscars thanks to its film adaptation, this cult play by Florian ZELLER returns to the stage with Pierre ARDITI and Irène JACOB in the title roles. André is no longer young and is showing the first signs of mental degeneration.

This is what prompts Anne, his daughter, to suggest he move into the large apartment she shares with her husband. She believes she can help this father she loved so much and who always made her laugh.

But things don't quite go as planned: the man who moves in with her turns out to be an astonishing, colourful character, not at all ready to give up his independence...

Both angry and helpless, he gradually loses his mind and regresses into childhood under his daughter's tearful gaze. It's not so easy to accept becoming, one day, the child of our children. A deeply moving play! An immense theatrical moment.
