Overview
By Nicolas DÉGREMONT Directed by Frédéric CHERBOEUF With Nicolas DÉGREMONT, accompanied by Zoé SAUBAT on cello Running time: 1h15 Inspired by a true story as moving as it is incredible, Le Plancher traces the fate of Jean Crampilh-Broucaret, known as Jeannot, a Béarnais farmer whose raw work was miraculously rediscovered in a farmhouse in the Pyrenees.
In 1971, after his mother's death, he carved 208 words into a wooden floor, a cry of pain and rebellion. On a faithful replica of this floor, Jeannot comes back to life in a powerful and poetic show. A sensory experience that questions marginality and oblivion.
Because art survives pain, it was essential to draw from this dark work a hymn to life and to creation!
