After more than six decades devoted to soul, Lee Fields, an essential figure of the genre, will make a major comeback next year with a new album and an exceptional tour across France, which will stop at L'Élysée Montmartre in Paris on 11 February.

Since the 1960s, Lee Fields has brought to life a deeply human soul, nourished by more than five decades of music, encounters and experiences. ", a reference to James Brown.

After beginnings marked by numerous singles and collaborations, he gradually established himself as one of the great survivors of American soul.

After a difficult period in the 1980s, during which he even considered giving up music, Lee Fields experienced a genuine renaissance from the late 1990s onwards with "Let's Get a Groove On" followed by "Problems" in 2002.

His meeting with producer Leon Michels and the musicians of The Expressions marked a new turning point in his career.

Together they released "My World" (2009), then "Faithful Man" (2012), two albums acclaimed by critics that did much to make Fields one of the leading figures of the contemporary soul revival.

The collaboration with The Expressions continued with "Emma Jean" (2014), "Special Night" (2016) and above all "It Rains Love" (2019), a particularly introspective and spiritual album in which Fields explores, with great sincerity, the themes of love, faith and the human condition.
