Overview
Three years after her iconic album « Raven », Kelela is back with a new album and a tour!
Kelela is an avant-garde artist who blurs the boundaries between R&B, electronic, rock and alternative music. From her mixtape Cut 4 Me (2013) to the acclaimed albums Take Me Apart and Raven, she has built a singular sonic universe, blending intimate emotions, political tension and musical experimentation. Following the critical success of Raven and her live project In The Blue Light, she continues this exploration with her third studio album, new avatar. The songs explore, among other things, the rage of Black women, joy as a form of resistance, a Gotham City-style dystopia, 'misogynoir', and romantic tension.
